About Us

The State Bank of Wanda was incorporated July 7, 1902.  The newly established bank started with capital of $10,000.  The bank operated under a thirty-year charter which expired almost simultaneously with the “Bank Holiday” of 1932.  At that time the bank’s name was changed to The Wanda State Bank, the name under which it operates today.  June 1, 2007 marked the 75th year of operating under this charter.

The Wanda State Bank has enjoyed steady growth through the years, to the point of reaching footings of over 85 Million at the end of 2005.  We are extremely proud of the foresight that the previous management has shown in steering the bank into a very strong capital position.

We take pride in being in the small number of banks that are truly locally owned.  This has always been a priority of previous and present owners.  It is a tradition that we hope to continue.  Because of this, we feel that as a locally owned bank, we truly have a feel for the pulse of the community we serve.  We are committed to providing the best possible service to our customers. By being a locally owned bank, we have a strong commitment to serving our community in the best possible way.

The Wanda State Bank has always taken pride in the quality of service we provide to our customers.  We have a knowledgeable staff that can assist our customers in all of their banking needs.  We believe that by being a locally owned community bank we can be on the cutting edge of providing the type of service the customer expects.
